Description: TRUs include short-term rentals (STRs) and homeshares. Within the TRU Regulation Overlay Zone, 1) STRs are prohibited except those on currently designated historic landmark properties and permitted as such with a zoning clearance; and 2) homeshares are allowed with a zoning clearance, which must be obtained annually. All STRs and homeshares operated in the non-coastal unincorporated areas outside of the TRU Regulation Overlay Zone are exempt from the requirements of the TRU ordinance.
