Service Description: This dataset contains geographic information for selected County Service Areas within Ventura County, including:
- Current service-area boundaries
- Historical boundary changes and annexations
- Adopted spheres of influence
The feature classes include County Service Areas 3, 4, 14, 29, 30, 32, 33, and 34. Together, they provide current and historical jurisdictional information used to support Ventura County LAFCo boundary administration, service reviews, sphere-of-influence studies, planning analysis, map production, and public access to special district information.
Boundary-change features document approved jurisdictional changes over time, while sphere-of-influence features represent the adopted areas considered appropriate for the future growth and service responsibilities of each County Service Area.
This data is intended for general reference and planning purposes. Users should consult Ventura County LAFCo records, adopted resolutions, and official legal descriptions when an authoritative boundary determination is required.
