Description: Radon is a naturally occurring colorless, tasteless and odorless radioactive gas that forms in soils from the decay of trace amounts of uranium that are naturally present in soils. Radon enters buildings from the surrounding soil through cracks or other openings in foundations. Once insode a building, radon ca become trapped and concentrate to become a health hazard unless the building is properly ventilated to remove radon. Long-term exposure to elevated levels of radon increase one's risk of developing lung cancer.
