Description: This is the High Quality Transit Areas (HQTAs) in the SCAG Region for plan year 2045, developed for the Final Connect SoCal (the 2020-2045 Regional Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy (RTP/SCS)). SCAG’s HQTA is within one-half mile from a “major transit stop” and a “high-quality transit corridor” and developed based on the language in SB375 and codified in the CA Public Resources Code. The definitions of a “major transit stop” and a “high-quality transit corridor” are as follows:A. Major transit stop: A site containing an existing rail or bus rapid transit station, a ferry terminal served by either a bus or rail transit service, or the intersection of two or more major bus routes with a frequency of service interval of 15 minutes or less during the morning and afternoon peak commute periods (CA Public Resource Code Section 21064.3). It also includes major transit stops that are included in the applicable regional transportation.B. High-quality transit corridor (HQTC): A corridor with fixed route bus service with service intervals no longer than 15 minutes during peak commute hours.Further explanation of the methodology for identifying HQTCs and major transit stops is included in the Connect SoCal Transit Technical Report Appendix.PLEASE NOTE that SCAG has made one modification to its methodology of HQTAs development to exclude the one-half mile areas around freeway-running HQTCs where there are no bus stops; the one-half mile areas around bus stops serving those freeway HQTCs remain.Major transit stops and HQTCs are based on the 2045 plan year transit network of Connect SoCal. PLEASE NOTE that SCAG updates its inventory of planned major transit stops and HQTCs with the adoption of a new RTP/SCS, once every four years. However, transit planning studies may be completed by transit agencies on a more frequent basis than the RTP/SCS is updated by SCAG. Users should consult with the appropriate transit provider(s) to obtain the latest information on planned transit routes, stop locations, and service intervals. Description: This shapefile contains the current boundaries of the Sphere of Influence for all cities in Ventura County. The Sphere of Influence represents the geographic extent to which a city can expand by annexation.
Description: This data set represents the five Supervisorial Districts. For the courses that follow geographical water course features such as rivers, creeks, washes, sloughs and barrancas, the Ventura County Watershed Protection District's Redline Channels were used. Source data: \gis_data\vc_flood_control_dist\shapefiles\channels\redline-all.shp, dated 3/11/2009. Where the Redline Channels terminate and the courses continue following water courses the Ventura County Watershed Protection District's Blueline Channels were used. Source data: \gis_data\vc_flood_control_dist\shapefiles\channels\blueline.shp, dated 9/17/2007. The Redline and Blueline channels were used for the purpose of having an identifiable geographic boundary. For the courses that follow the mean high tide line the boundary between the Pacific Ocean and Ventura County was used. Source data\gis_data\vc_public_works\engineering_mapping\shapefiles\mapping_base\venco.shp, dated 5/28/2010. The boundary between the Pacific Ocean and Ventura County was digitized from the water line of the 2001 aerial imagery to establish the coast.

Description: TRUs include short-term rentals (STRs) and homeshares. Within the TRU Regulation Overlay Zone, 1) STRs are prohibited except those on currently designated historic landmark properties and permitted as such with a zoning clearance; and 2) homeshares are allowed with a zoning clearance, which must be obtained annually. All STRs and homeshares operated in the non-coastal unincorporated areas outside of the TRU Regulation Overlay Zone are exempt from the requirements of the TRU ordinance.
Description: This GIS dataset is for Resource Management Agency purposes only and should not be used as a base map source. Township, range and sections within Spanish Lands (Ranchos) do not constitute a division of land or property. The 'PLS' layer is a polygon coverage depicting the township, range and sections contained in the Public Land Survey System grid for the State of California. Townships are roughly six miles square, and are numbered north and south from an established baseline. Likewise, ranges are numbered east and west from an established meridian. California uses three baseline/meridians, these being Humboldt, Mt. Diablo, and San Bernardino, abbreviated HB&M, MDB&M, and SBB&M. Township and range values are combined in the redefined item TOWN-RANGE to facilitate dissolve and dropline functions.
Description: Due to current drought conditions in the State of CA and in Ventura County, an urgency condition regarding groundwater now exists within Ventura County. The condition of groundwater resources in watersheds and groundwater basins in Ventura County is presently critical. The purposes of this ordinance are:a. To stabilize groundwater extractions until appropriate regulatory oversight, as recently designated by the State, can take place.b. To protect current communities, growers and other users, who are reliant on groundwater, from the adverse consequences that can result from a rush of new pumpers permanently impacting their ability to obtain needed water.c. To decrease the possibility that groundwater supplies will be exhausted during this extended drought and before groundwater sustainability plans can be implemented.d. To decrease the likelihood that people will further tap stressed groundwater supplies to avoid restrictions and conservation efforts being made by water districts.e. To conserve critical and dwindling water supplies suring a severe statewide and local drought so that there will be adequate supplies for health, safety, and welfare.
